My first short story publication!

“Peace Comes in the Night” I

I’m so excited about my very first short story publication!  I’ve published a lot of poems, a few essays, and a ton of blog posts, but this is my first piece of fiction to be accepted.  It appears in DarkWinter Literary Magazine.

“The well-worn floorboards of the old farmhouse yielded to the crowbar more easily than the frozen ground to the shovel.”

It’s a very short story, under 1,000 words, possibly a flash fiction.
