The patron saint of 42 is you. So brilliantly cutting, this piece.

It was good enough for Doug Adams.

Mine is straighter and further down

Told them they should have put in a zipper

Take care of yourself

( I was a respiratory therapist for a while - I’ve seen those chest scars )

I think you have me beat

Full disclosure - that's not me in the picture. It's a stock photo. The actual photos of my scars are a bit much to post here.

I have had that scar numerous times. I feel the pain in your poem. I gave up up the belly button and realised I have been divinely created. Thank you Dawn ❤️

I've managed to keep the belly button, but now it has a frame.

I had two resections. The first one no belly button. The second they gave me a belly button to the left of my scar. I was mortified. When I had the hernia operation from the second surgery. I said forget it. If you can figure out how to put in the middle I don’t want one. I am super proud of my scar and still wear a bikini. When people stare I say oh I am divinely created. Adam and Eve didn’t have one either 😂 😉

No resections so far, but multiple open-heart surgeries.

What doesn't kill me just gives me a dark sense of humor and unhealthy coping mechanisms.

Ohhh girl! The dark sense of humour— I get LOL! Is it really an unhealthy coping mechanism? Hmmmmm

This is one that's better when read live. Either it leaves people stunned or horrified. Not sure which.

I agree. And perhaps both.
