I miss chocolate! I lost the ability to eat it when my mast cell condition got worse - but thankfully I can still laugh. And live vicariously through the chocolate chip cookie adventures of others.
How dreadful, not being able to enjoy chocolate. You know, I was never a big fan of chocolate until my first heart transplant. Then I couldn't get enough. When I made contact with my donor family, his mother told me that he used to love chocolate. I wonder if there was some kind of cellular memory?
My current ragelist: Open with Paranoid - a classic. Undead by Hollywood Undead. Before I Forget by Slipknot. Sex Metal Barbie by In This Moment. I am the Fire by Halestorm. Heaven Knows by The Pretty Reckless. Labour (the cacophany) by Paris Paloma. Cover songs: Holy Diver - Killswitch Engage. Blank Space - I Prevail. Careless Whisper - Seether.
I tend toward rabid-sounding heavy metal music. Drives my husband nuts if I was the last one driving the car and I left it on the metal station with the volume cranked up. At home, I wear my headphones.
Thank you, Dawn for a post I could commiserate with after the election. I am laughing reading "Thursday Murder Club. Self care is so important! Small joys like blackberries for breakfast, daily walks, hugs, and sunshine in Boston.
I enjoyed your post. I had a principal that encouraged us to have a good belly laugh a day! He was right to encourage us to try to do that because it fully helped to cope with any stress we endured during the day! Your post reinforced that same idea 100%! Thank you!

The idea of cellular memory is SO neat - and what a gift to pass to you - the gift of chocolate and a heart.
I'm not cool enough to know any of those songs lol. I tend to rage out to showtunes :P
Yes, two gifts in one.

I’m happy for you 🥹
It's the first of many steps toward the necessary battle.
