Laughter is the best medicine

Chocolate is a close second

Today, I laughed for the first time since Tuesday.

This morning in the shower, I finally had a good cry, full body shaking sobs.

Before lunch, I put on my headphones and cranked up the music, rage-cleaning the kitchen from end to end.

This afternoon, at Costco of all places, my amazing husband used his magical ability to make me laugh until my sides hurt.

Tonight, I ate rotisserie chicken and baked chocolate chip cookies.

My stomach isn’t sure what happened to it, but I’m feeling like hope might be possible.

Never underestimate the healing power of a good belly laugh, and a belly full of cookies.
