I love this!

I love reading your writings...

The paragraph about not being here today without the ultimate gift of life ..

fireplace... dog snores... wondering why it's so cold in MI in May, is like a song!

Hopefully you don't hear it sung in my voice, or it would be off-key!

And with you also. My husband John lived 18 years with his donated heart. I know some U of M transplants who are over 30 + years. I wish that for you too Dawn because I know the Fourth is with you.

I confess, I would like to make it to "little old lady" status. I think I would be adorable.

I was blessed to be a bone marrow donor in 2000. My recipient lived another 13 years and our families are still together. When my late wife passed, too young, we were able to donate corneas, bone, and skin. It was a blessing to know that we could help. I’m in my mid-60’s now and have strict instructions to donate anything that would be useful when that time comes.

Thank you for choosing to become a bone marrow - and future organ and tissue - donor. I'm sorry to hear about your wife and grateful that you chose donation. More people receive cornea, bone, and tissue than all the organ recipients added together. There is a great need for both organ and tissue donation. Thank you for your selfless generosity.
