Good morning! I'm currently reading The Ocean of Years by Roger MacBride Allen, the second book in The Chronicles of Solace series. This second book is more of a slow burn read, but I'm still enjoying it and am interested in how it will turn out.

It's definitely soup and chili season! I have a new dairy, egg, and onion intolerance, so am working on figuring out alternatives for everything. Chili is easy as I don't need to put onion in it. But soups are quite the challenge to avoid the dairy and onion, and will need to start experimenting soon! It means that all of my soups need to be homemade, starting with the stocks since most brands have onion in them.

I've started watching Brilliant Minds. I'm only a couple of episodes in, but so far I'm quite captivated by it. I like catching shows that have different stories compared to traditional medical or police dramas, so it fits that for me. It is network tv, so I record the episodes and watch later, so a few episodes behind at this point. No binge watching until it's streaming, or I just fall that far behind :)

Those both sound fascinating! I will have to share some of my recipes here. I need to eat low sodium and low fat due to my heart transplant status, so I make pretty much everything from scratch. I don't do dairy because it makes me, um, unladylike, so to speak. I have found the Outshine coconut bars to be better than ice cream, without dairy! That's my favorite new discovery.

I'll have to see if I can find them in Canada. I love coconut, so this would be a great alternative! Some of the non-dairy ice cream alternatives aren't too bad. But they're all gluten free too which makes the extras, like cookie dough, a little blah.
